Celeste and I have followed each other on social media for a long time! She found my page after a photoshoot meet up I did while we were BOTH living in Washington State. She then moved to Arizona, then I MOVED to Arizona. So I guess that it was then meant to be when I posted a model call for Phoenix boudoir!

Let’s continue the conversation surrounding mental health and art, specifically photography. There’s a variety of perspectives within this topic, but let’s just focus on two, the photographer and the client. Anxiety is fear of the unknown and what the future holds for us; from the perspective of the photographer anxiety could look like worrying about a cancellation and loss of income or about if they’ll perform well at their job based on the booked assignment, or from the perspective of the client anxiety could look like worrying about if they’ll look good in photos or if the photographer will direct them well enough to pull out their confidence.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that 2021 was probably not any of our years (if it was, please tell me all of your secrets). Big changes in our day-to-day lifestyles left a lot of us reeling and feeling disconnected with ourselves. I miss this, I miss engagement sessions, I miss going out and finding fun places with amazing people. I miss being social and ready for this to all be over, but life is going to change. Life is changed, so reminiscing about it is where we are going to have to be.
