Its All In The Details II | Wedding Photography | Seattle, WA

The details the details the details, here we go again!

So, I know I talked about the importance of the details last week, but I am going to continue to say how important more details are this week. But this week I am going to show you the other details. The pieces of a wedding that people don’t often put a focus on. The things that people just HAPPEN to notice. The things that I as your photographer DEFINITELY notice.

One of the most special parts of being a wedding photographer is being able to capture those moments especially because as the ones getting married you may not even remember those details, so my job is to capture those details for you all the remember in the future.

So, I am going to share some very special details with you from some of the more recent weddings I have photographed over the years! I am not here to give any advice, but to highlight things to spark some ideas for the future. The creativity with weddings are endless, and I am so excited to share the creativity I have seen with you all.

So here we go! Lemme tell you little stories about these details:

Chris and Cameron Scartozzi | Elopement on the Ocean | Ocean Shores, WA

Chris and Cameron you have probably seen floating around, and if you know their story you know they won a session with me, which ended up being an engagement session, WITH SNOW in pioneer square. And when they invited me to come along to ocean shores for their wedding you know I was in! They had a really cute ceremony with some really cute personalized details, such as their champagne tossing fun, the campfire on the beach and their customized SEAHAWKS jersey. So cute! Check out their wedding story here!

Victor and Brizelda | Ranch Party | Pasco WA

Victor and Brizelda, had a fun, large wedding on a ranch out in Pasco washington. Their sweet and intimate outdoor catholic wedding was beautiful and had tons of gorgeous cultural and important details to their marriage. They imported embroidered pieces from Mexico and details that included family who are no longer with them. This Pasco weddings was one for the books, and was so special and heartfelt the entire day!

Michele and Chris | Mountain Top Elopement | Leavenworth, WA

If you’ve been following the blog you know Michele is one of my besties! So this wedding was so special to capture. These two have such an amazing personality together full of adventure, and sillies. Chris is a ultra trail runner and Michele is a die hard backpacker. So together they create the ultimate outdoorsy couple, so of course their wedding details had to have all those elements. Additionally, Chris’ mom surprised Michele with a family heirloom necklace, and Micheles grandfather gave Chris his watch to wear. It was such a special moment. Even Chris’ tie had little mountains on it!

Chelsea and Kevin | Backyard Family Wedding | Auburn, WA

Chelsea and Kevin’s backyard family wedding was so special. They both were able to incorporate parts of each family into their wedding design. From cute fun elements like “best day ever” signs, and adorable scrapbooks to adding their photos to their parents home to make it feel more “wedding”.

They had beautiful pieces that felt so close to the heart. Chelsea got ready in her parents room and was able to utilize some of her mothers jewelry and perfume to set the tone for some special moments. You can see their wedding story here!

Anna and Joshua | Wisteria Gardens Wedding | Anacortes, WA

Anna and Josh had a beautiful extended wedding! After being stoped by covid, they were finally able to have a follow up wedding to their super small elopement, which you can find here (BLOG!). They wanted this wedding to be all about family and friends, and man did they hit the nail on the head. Anna’s best friends worked together set up a beautiful wedding at the Wisteria Gardens venue. In addition to special memories all over the place, and the details Wisteria Gardens already has, Treat yourself cookies, who is run and owned by Anna’s best friend Amanda (who was also one of her bridesmaids) created the prettiest cookies for the day. Using desserts for ring photos was so fun! And of course adding in something special for Anna’s dog was KEY! they had so many details it was so hard to pick only a few.

Arianna and Jon-Mycal | Evergreen Meadows | Snoqualmie, WA

Arianna and Jon-Mycal have an incredibly cute love story. They met in college and the rest is history! haha There is more too it but I won’t bore you here with that. So I will move on to their details. They were able to have a super cute intimate wedding at Evergreen Meadows where their details were highlighted. They had the cutest vow books, and chose to read their vows to one another privately, which was one of the cutest most intimate things I have seen from wedding. TOTALLY beautiful. AND made for some amazing photos. They also made sure to have their invites ready, and their cute details laid out for me when I got there. Arianna had a special charm on her bouquet that felt very special to her and photos all over the venue!

Ben and Jessica | Index Cabin Intimate | Index, WA

Ben and Jess are really great friends of min, and originally I was invited to their wedding gin Puerto Rico. HOWEVER again covid changes things, and they resorted to a small intimate wedding in the mountains with special friends and family. It was an honor to capture their details and really show off their personality in the things they had on their special day. They held special memories, and family heirlooms I have never seen before. The engraved knife of all the couples in Jess’ family, the memory fable, and the small reminders of their love and its distance was incredible. They really crushed it on the details. And you can see more here!!
