Viral for a Pickle? The Result
Let us begin by saying. I have officially gone “insane” ?
I feel like all I need to put here is the video. But I will type out the story for SEO…and those of you who like to read still. Haha Just Kidding! But for reals. So here it goes.
So, one night. The partner was out having a boys night which triggered boredom.
Now lets take a step back here. I am going to walk you through the history of the weirdness. So, every year since I was itty bitty my mom has done really silly stocking gifts for christmas. These things have ranged from strange types of snacks, or Harry Potter Jelly Beans, to socks, underwear, and strange fake baseball cards. Now as we got older things get more “practical” but still….strange. This year, as I was going through my stocking one of the last things I pulled out was a Van Holtens Pickle in a bag….Now another historical fact about me here. I LOVE PICKLES. Like a lot. It is the go to snack, I love pickler merchandise etc. It’s great.
So fast forward back to the present. I had not eaten this pickle. It was just hanging out in my fridge. It had been about six months by now and the boredom was just what this pickled needed to be free. So it was freed. Into my mouth…haha
ALSO! I had recently decided to start being a elder millennial on tik tok. Which has been interesting. But Usually I post things about photography or about mental health. Make sense right? But I thought throwing something random in there might be intriguing. INTRIGUING IT WAS. I woke up the next morning with nearly 15k views! WHAT! FOR EATING A PICKLE? I am sure you could understand why. But man…. it triggered a series of events I didn’t think I would do.
I ended up planning and filming my journey of the pickle photoshoot. I didn’t give myself any exceptions except to find more pickles in bags and go from there. Well, the journey was not easy.
As you might see in this video it was not an easy adventure to find the pickles. And not easy to shoot in my tiny apartment.
But…I am leaving the rest of the story up for you to watch. Because well, the video is just PURE GOLD.
