What is a lifestyle branding session?
Lifestyle branding is a session to which you get to control, create and collaborate with me on expressing your brand, mission or marketplace with me. Lifestyle branding photoshoots are the best possible way to create content and marketing images for social media, emails, websites and so much more!
There is lots of planning with these sessions so I thought the best way was to show you the planning adventure that LA Fresh and I walked through to get their incredible images like these. >>>>>>>>>>>>>. (Image Right)
Part One: Contact and Connection.
Finding me is easy-ish, contacting me is the fun part. Britt had found me through a google search and really connected with my work so she connected with me through my website here! yes, this place that you are at now! Just by clicking the above button labeled “Contact” (or by clicking that too).
After brands connect with me via email I always like to set up a consultation. I do this to create a connection and so that you get to hear my voice, know that I am real and even see me (if we video chat). Instantly I could tell that Britt was amazing and was very excited to talk more about their brand. Britt and I connected on a few levels.
I ask a few questions during consultation including:
-What are your branding goals? (LA Fresh Answer: we want to re do our website and instagram from being a party brand to a wellness brand)
-What are your brand colors and vibe? (LA fresh Answer: relaxed, and healing based with greens, browns and natural tones)
-Do you have inspiration or aspiration for your website or brands vision? (LA fresh Answer: We want people to feel warm relaxed vibes from our business and want to turn towards wellness rather than partying)

Part Two: Planning and Creating
Working with any brand is similar. The way that you shoot and the shot lists will be different but the idea is always similar. So I always ask; What do you want to achieve as a brand?
Britt answered this beautifully (Now I can’t remember word for word) but she stated they wanted to move away from being party style, to being down to earth about healing and mindfulness (As stated above). I instantly got chills because I LOVE THAT. As you know me being a therapist I am ALL here for that.
My Clients then spend some time gathering the props, writing a shot list, and finding or creating a Pinterest board that speaks to them and what they are looking at doing.
Lastly, in our planning we pick a date, time, and location. For LA fresh we selected a day and morning time to have the best even lighting. And then selected Edmonds beach area for the beach vibes as well as the city vibes we could achieve with Edmonds adorable character. As your photographer I will also always consult time of day with you for the best lighting depending on the vibe and style we are trying to achieve. For LA Fresh, morning seemed to be the best vibe as we wanted good contrasted colors with even lighting.

Part Three: Shooting and Laughing
Hahah ** Yes I am adding laughter onto this title because I think this is part of a lifestyle branding experience with me. Lifestyle branding should be and usually is relaxed and fun. I want my clients to not feel pressured to have a years worth of content, or to be pressured into having ALL the shots and ONLY the shots they listed.
These photoshoots I set up with lower exceptions which often allows us wiggle room to be creative and express ourselves beyond what we expected. With LA fresh we had this list, and then turned out over 200 images. They have contact that is usable for not only their website but also social media through the spring and summer.
During out shoot we got into it, lost track of time and just had a blast. These two were my ideal clients and I cannot wait to do this again.
Part Four: Editing and Relaxing
Next step is all about me. I spent a couple weeks working on the images to specially create an incredible gallery for your brand. I make sure they have beautiful colors, that theyre straight and express the emotion the client is expecting. Then I add back keywords for google and SEO. I create high res versions along with webiized ones. And create various crop versions of certain images for certain website sizing etc. (If needed). If requested I will create .gif’s and thumbnail images for my clients as well! Its all about my client here.
Part Five: Sending and Excitement
FINALLY…The incredible part. The reaction. When the gallery is sent I almost always text my client.
And bam! You have new content for MONTHS or to revamp your entire site.
