Hey, Did you know backyard weddings are fun! haha

Well, let’s start here. Chelsea and Kevin found me through Chris and Cam (See the last blog HERE). We met over pizza in Georgetown, WA, and clicked! I knew it was gonna be a good tie with these two. We planned their engagement shoot at Franklin Falls and they survived a VERY wet day. But this was only the beginning….

So remember when I said backyard weddings can be fun? Well…

Chelsea and Kevin found this out, unfortunately, the hard way. The COVID-19 pandemic has really allowed so many couples to get creative. Chelsea and Kevin had planned a larger wedding at a Beautiful Issaquah Venue..however only weeks into quarantine their venue closed. But their spirits were not damped (too much) as they had an amazing family support network that allowed them to still get married in the backyard of Chelsea’s parents’ home.

Not only did her parents do a beautiful job decorating and creating the perfect space. Chelsea and Kevin got to put their personal touches all over the place at this beautiful small backyard wedding.

However, the morning of the rain was coming down and we were worried about having another wet adventure. But, just as Chelsea’s mom was putting on her dress, the sun came out and it warmed up VERY quickly…. We were very lucky! Her parents took tarps off of everything and the wedding was yet again A GO!

If you are worried about photos in your backyard, take it from Chelsea and Kevin and just do it. The memories are definitely more worth it. Plus!! NOW!! with COVID-19 being all up in our grills, I have added anniversary photo options to packages as well as adventure photoshoots after the wedding. So, if you do have a backyard, or courthouse, or etc. style wedding. You can ADD an adventure shoot on the top of a mountain, or at Franklin Falls, etc!! No illness can stop us from getting incredible images wherever you’re heart desires!
