#WeGotThisSeattle Part 2 | Quarantine 2020 | Seattle, WA

I know that quarantine is just about the only thing that anyone can talk about these days.
it’s the only thing on our minds…

It's the only thing keeping us in our homes, so why not think about it constantly.
it’s hard to control the thoughts, the anxiety, the fear that comes with being in quarantine.
but what can we control is ourselves…

We can only control how we continue to live in quarantine and how we proceed with following guidelines the state and the country has provided us.
We can only control how we react to ourselves and to others. We can only control how we communicate with our loved ones and our families.
In this journey to finding the control and the calm within the overwhelming ”out of control” world we live in, we can seek ART, EDUCATION, and COMMUNITY in a whole new way.

One of the ways I have found my control is through art and education.

Let us start with education;

As a mental health professional (if you didn’t know I’m an Livesned mental health counselor in Washington state) i felt I needed to provide support or give back in some way. When thinkin of ways to share and show support, themighty.com reached out and asked if I wanted to do a talk. My friend Kat had done one so I said sure!!! And created a talk for teens on how to surivive quarantine.
you can find that video here if you or your family is interested.

We cover overcoming grief, acceptance, and coping skills for getting through the hard times.
This talk is intended to spark conversation with teens and families across the world, so thank you The Mighty.

Lets move on to Art;

The art that I have been able to create is nee and exciting, additionally, I have be able to share more from the past that I have always feared was never ”good enough” or was never what ”fit my feed”. It has been an incredible journey sharing that art. So from now on my blogs will also include my art, in addition to new things happening.

Additionally, I have been able to create art through others art. Ballard has allowed artists to create piece of beauty on the walls and doors of shops that have been forced to close due to this pandmic. So here are those image and here is how I contributed to the world as well.
