My Top 5 Boudoir Must Haves ! | Boudoir Advice and Beyond | Seattle, WA
Ever wonder how I explain to my clients what to wear? Ever wonder what it is you wear to a boudoir session? or just want to hear some fun ideas?? Well, then this is the article for you today.
I am making this list because there are 5 specific items the NEVER FAIL to make boudoir sessions the best they can be! Before going through this list, I want to mention that this is by no means me telling you what to do, this is just a list of my “must-haves” when getting ready for a boudoir shoot.
So, let’s get started!
1. Cozy Sweater
I feel like there is no explanation behind why a cozy sweater is a great choice for boudoir. My number one reason is that its a great first outfit if you’ve never had your photo taken because it gets the client used to be in front of the camera AND because it is more “normal” than being in typical lingerie, and then you can use some of the comfy sweater images on your social media if you so, please. 2. Body Suit
A bodysuit is an absolute classic item in a boudoir session. I prefer these over “teddys” or individual pieces because it can create beautiful shapes on a body and help with confidence. There is something special about a great soft bodysuit that makes a HUGE difference when being in front of the camera. Every bodysuit I own makes me feel like a queen! And guess what!! 3. Cheeky’s
Okay..What are cheekys? Cheekys are a style of underwear that have emerged in the last fivish or more years. These cheekys are PREMIUM for boudoir because not only are they comfortable but it gives the booty incredible shape. Thongs get lost, and briefs don’t emphasizes cheeks. So cheekys are the BEST when you are trying to show off your boo-tay! Forever21 and Victoria secret have the BEST cheekys! My go to choice below the images!
4. Knee High Socks
Knee high socks, just at a little OOMF to the sexiness of a comfy boudoir session. I love knee high socks because they elongate legs, and…prevent feet from getting dirty. They ad a really cute touch to a boudoir session. especially when paired with a comfy sweater and a mug of coffee+ baileys, or a mimosa! Simple, comfy and affordable knee-high socks on amazon are some of the best! Link below!
5. Silk Robe
Now, typically I would never put silk on this list. Why not silk you ask? Silk reflects light in many spaces, so if we are using a silk robe in your session we have to be careful what we pair it with and where we place you in the space. BUT I still LOVE them because again using a robe or a sweater posing is fun and can create amazing shapes with the body. Many places have silk robes, but honestly my favorite one I have is from TARGET! Link below the images!
