“This is for all the WOMEN who don’t give a fuck”
I met Samantha, of Lost Found Design, via Instagram like I meet many of the humans of my life right now. We then met in person at girls night out at our favorite gift shop Alair in West Seattle. (Blog soon to come). I instantly knew that she would be an influence on my life. She is creative, spunky and full of punk rock badassery! She’s also a mom who has been through an incredible journey. So go follow her here —> Lost Found Design
Fast forward through Sam second shooting for Blythe and Kevin’s wedding (click here for blog). And birthday parties and other events later….
As Samantha and I became friends she eventually asked me something every photographer friend wants to hear. “Will you take my picture” As photographers, we tend to struggle to get in front of the camera unless it is self-timer, or remote photos, or in Sam’s case, if she has her children do it :) SO CUTE! So, of course, I had to say YES! Duh! She sent me messages with her inspiration and I started to get pumped, this was right up my alley and I needed to get moving with some creativity.
She stated she wanted some rebranding photos because she’s finding her special rock star niche. She had some fun props, and a vision, that I was instantly on board with. So we entered this wanting t express badassery!
A badass you say?
well, Sam had this shirt. This shirt from this really cool company called This is for the Women…. You can find them here (Insert link) or on Instagram @thisisforthewomen or online at “This is for the women”
She also had a chocker that said “BBGST: Bad Bitches Gotta Stick Together” a Collab of Scarlet Parke and awesome musical artist! Check her out! and Uphill Designs in Ballard. A KILLER leatherworking shop in Ballard, WA. SOOOO COOL!! It was a blast.
sam says “…Andrea is wonderful! I am also a professional photographer who needed some updated headshots for my own website. Andrea not only made me feel super comfortable during our shoot, she was fun to work with, had great ideas for posing and I absolutely LOVE the images she produced for me! Thank you!!”
Again, let me reiterate why rebranding is portent and empowering. I think I talk about branding a lot, but I think that it is super important to have in the world of small business, and especially in supporting businesses. I love working with people who own their own business or who are working their way to that. Because I want to help them express their being, express who they want the world to know them as.
So for Sam, the goal was to show how empowered, beautiful and independent she was. These humans are the humans that inspire me every day, every day to be better, do better and reach every goal imaginable.
